BADAM KA HALWA

INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup almonds
- 1 tbsp ghee
- 6 tbsp sugar
- ½ tsp cardamom powder
- 1 cup full fat milk
- 1 tbsp wheat flour [atta]
- 2 tbsp finely chopped cashew nuts (fried or roasted)
- 1 tbsp rasins
For garnish
METHOD
- Soak 1 cup almonds in water for 8 hours.
- Deskin and grind in a mixture [do not overgrind].
- Heat the ghee in a non-stick frying pan.
- Add the almond mixture and cook for 3 to 4 minutes stirring continuously.
- Add the sugar, milk and elaichi, wheat flour and cover with a lid and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- Remove the lid, stir continuously and cook till the liquid evaporates.
- You can deep freeze the halwa and use at your convenience
- Serve hot garnished with cashew nuts and rasins
