BANYARD MILLET TIKKI

These tikkis are upvas / fast friendly. These are made from banyard millet (samo). This is a healthy, fiber packed tikki recipe made from banyard millets. BANYARD MILLET TIKKI Recipe|Renu dalal

INGREDIENTS

  • ¼ cup banyard millet (soak overnight)
  • ¼ Cup grated carrot
  • ¼ cup mashed potato
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander
  • ¼ tsp green chilly ginger paste
  • ½ tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped roasted peanuts
  • ¼ tsp sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp oil(For cooking)

To serve

  • Green chutney or ketchup

METHOD

  1. Soak the banyard millet overnight in water.
  2. Pressure cook for 2 whistles, strain and let it cool down.

How to proceed

  1. Mix together all the ingredients including cooked banyard and make mixture..
  2. Divide this into 6 equal parts and shape into tikkis.
  3. Heat a pan and cook the tikkis from both the sides with some oil.
  4. Serve hot with green chutney or ketchup.
