Dal ki Puri Recipe|Renu dalal

INGREDIENTS

For the dal paste -

  • 2 tbsp yellow moongdal (soak 2-3 hours)
  • 2 chopped garlic cloves
  • ¼ tsp ginger chilly paste

For the dough -

  • ¼ cup wheat flour
  • ½ tbsp rava
  • ¼ tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped coriander
  • Pinch of turmeric powder
  • Pinch red chilli powder
  • Pinch garam masala
  • Salt to taste

Oil for frying

METHOD

For the dal paste

  1. In a blender jar, blend the soaked dal, garlic and ginger green chilli paste.
  2. Blend until smooth.

How to proceed

  1. In a plate mix together all the ingredients along with the dal paste.
  2. Knead a soft dough. Roll out medium sized puris.
  3. Heat oil for frying and fry the puris.
  4. Alternatively you can make parathas and puris from the mixture.
  5. Serve hot.
