Drumstick and Tuvar Dal Soup

INGREDIENTS
1½ cup drumstick chopped
¼ cup Tuvar dal
¼ cup onion chopped
¼ cup tomato chopped
2 garlic cloves
3 cups of water
½ tbsp oil
Other ingredients
Salt pepper to taste
Pinch of haldi
Pinch of hing
½ tsp chilli powder
Salt to taste
2 tbsp chopped coriander
2 tsp oil
METHOD
For the base
In a pressure cooker add in oil and saute onions, Tomatoes and garlic cloves.
Add in soaked tuvar dal, chopped drumsticks and water.
Mix well and pressure cook it for 3 whistles.
Once cooked, let it cool down.
Once done, blend this into a puree.
Strain the soup.
How to proceed
In a pan heat oil. Saute hing and turmeric powder for half a minute.
Add in the strained soup, chilli powder, and salt to taste.
Cook for a minute. Finish by adding chopped coriander.
Serve hot.
