Dry Fruit Modak Recipe|Renu dalal

INGREDIENTS

  • ¼ cup cashews
  • ¼ cup almonds
  • 3 seedless dates
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • ¼ cup chopped pistas
  • ¼ cup coconut powder

METHOD

  1. In a food processor add the almonds and cashews and pulse for a few seconds till you get a mixture.
  2. Add the dates and pulse again.
  3. Add the pistas, coconut powder and ghee. Mix in the food processor again.
  4. Remove from the processor the dry fruit mixture.
  5. Line the modak moulds with ghee.
  6. Put the dry fruit mixture in the moulds and press well.
  7. Remove the modaks from the moulds and refrigerate for an hour
