Kopra Pak Recipe|Renu dalal

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 ½ cup Dessicated coconut
  • 1 ½ cup milk
  • Pinch of cardamom powder
  • 5-6 Kesar strands (Soaked in milk)
  • ¾ Cup Sugar

For garnish

  • Warakh

METHOD

  1. Heat the ghee in a pan, add the coconut and sauté on a medium flame for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add the milk, sugar, cardamom powder and kesar.
  3. Mix well and cook for about 30-45 minutes, while stirring occasionally and scraping the sides of the pan.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a greased thali & spread it evenly using a flat ladle.
  5. Top up with some warakh and let it cool down for 1 hour.
  6. Cut the kopra pak into square pieces and serve or store in an air-tight container.
