KUDO MILLET KHICHDI

INGREDIENTS
For the pressure cooker
½ Cups soaked Kudo millet
¼ Cups soaked Split Green moong dal
1 tbsp Ghee
¼ tsp Turmeric powder(haldi)
¼ tsp asafoetida (Hing)
Salt to taste
3 Cups Water
For Tempering
1 tsp Cumin seeds
1 tbsp Ghee
4-5 Curry Leaves
METHOD
For the pressure cooker
In the pressure cooker, add in soaked Kudo millet and soaked Split Green moong dal.
Add in ghee, hing, turmeric powder, salt to taste and water.
Pressure cook for 2 whistles.
For tempering
In a small vessel heat ghee, sauté cumin seeds and curry leaves.
Add this crackling tempering to the pressure cooked khichdi, mix well and serve hot.
