Lapsi Recipe|Renu dalal

INGREDIENTS

  • ¼ cup Daliya (Fada/Lapsi grain)
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1 Cup Water
  • Pinch of cardamom powder
  • Pinch of fennel seed powder
  • 1/3 cup powdered jaggery

Other ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Dessicated Coconut
  • 1 tbsp chopped roasted almonds
  • 1 tbsp chopped roasted cashews

METHOD

  1. In a pressure cooker, add in ghee and saute daliya.
  2. Add in jaggery, fennel seeds powder, cardamom powder.
  3. Add in water, let the jaggery melt and then pressure cook it for 4-5 whistles.
  4. Once cooked, release the pressure and open the pressure cooker.
  5. Stir weekly and add in dessicated coconut, chopped roasted almonds and cashews. Mix well.
  6. Serve hot or cold and enjoy.
