Madur Vada Recipe|Renu dalal

INGREDIENTS

  • ½ cup rice flour
  • ¼ cup rava
  • 2 tbsp maida
  • 2 tbsp crushed roasted peanuts
  • ½ tbsp sesame seeds
  • ½ cup sliced onions
  • ½ tsp ginger green chilly paste
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander
  • 1 tbsp chopped curry leaves
  • Pinch of hing
  • ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • ½ tsp jeera
  • 1 tbsp warm oil
  • Warm water to knead dough
  • Salt to taste

Oil for frying

To serve with

  • Green chutney

METHOD

  1. In a bowl mix together all the ingredients to make a dough.
  2. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and flatten to make vadas.
  3. Heat oil for frying.
  4. Fry these vadas until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Serve hot with green chutney.
