METHI MATAR MALAI
Another all time classic, as I always say methi is my favourite vegetable. loved by all and everyone’s favourite! Here’s my take on it, a very quick and easy recipe but very delicious and healthy. a complete package with taste and nutrition. A powerhouse of antioxidants with grean peas and methi but as much tasty. You can enjoy with roti, Naan or Phulka.

INGREDIENTS
- 1 tsp oil
- ½ chopped onion
- 2 tbsp chopped cashewnuts
- 1 tsp chopped garlic
- 1 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)
- ½ tsp chopped ginger
- ½ tsp chopped green chillies
- 1 tsp poppy seeds
- 2 cups chopped methi (fenugreek) leaves
- 1 cups boiled green peas
- 2 tbsp oil
- ¼ tsp asofoetida (hing)
- ½ tsp kasturi methi
- 1 tsp garam masala
- ¾ cup milk
- 2 tbsp cream
- Salt to taste

METHOD
- In a vessel heat the oil, add the rest of the ingredients for the paste and saute for 1 minute.
- Add 2 tbsp of water and process in a food processor.
- Heat the oil, add the hing , and saute for 10 seconds.
- Add the paste, kasturi methi and garam masala and saute for ½ minute.
- Add the methi, green peas, and saute for ½ minute.
- Add the milk, cream, salt to taste and cook for 3 to 4 minutes
- Serve hot with naan or rice
