PUNJABI CHOORI
this is the classic North Indian favourite. Punjabi choori is so popular in the north and is everyone`s favourite. Made with such homely and simple ingredients it takes homemade sweets to another level. Made with just roti and you can use any roti, we have shown jowar roti this tastes delicious and so hearty. This dish reminds of home in a bite. Made with gud / jaggery it is very healthy too. Do not skip adding ghee as it gives the right nutrition. Make this for your kids and they`ll love it, this sweet dish is packed with flavour and nutrition. Add in your choice of nuts, but do make it your family will love it.

Serves 3
INGREDIENTS
1 ½ Cups Crumbled jowar roti
2 tbsp ghee
1 ½ tbsp jaggery
1 tbsp chopped roasted almonds
1 tbsp chopped roasted cashews
METHOD
For the roti
Tear the rotis with your hands into small pieces. Crush in a mortar and pestle.
In a pan heat ghee and roast crumbled roti for 1 minutes.
Add in jaggery and mix well until the jaggery melts. Sprinkle some water while cooking.
Top up with chopped roasted almonds and cashews.
Serve hot.
