INGREDIENTS

    • 1 cup urad dal flour
    • 2 tbsp ghee
    • 1 tbsp cold milk

    Other ingredient

    • ½ cup khoya
    • ½ tbsp ghee
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 3 tbsp ghee

    For the sugar syrup

    • ¼ sugar
    • ¾ cup water
    • ¼ tsp cardamom powder
    • Kesar

    To add later

    • 2 tbsp chopped roasted cashews
    • 1 tbsp chopped roasted almonds

METHOD

    For the base

    1. In a plate mix together urad dal flour, milk and ghee.
    2. Mix and make a crumbly mixture.
    3. Pass this through the sieve to get a fine texture.

    For the sugar syrup

    1. In a saucepan mix together water, sugar, kesar, cardamom powder.
    2. Boil until you get a one string syrup consistency.
    3. Set aside.vvv

    How to proceed

    1. In a pan heat ghee and add in the sieved urad dal mixture.
    2. Roast for 10 minutes.
    3. Add milk, khoya and cook for another 7-8 minutes or until nicely golden brown.
    4. Mix in the prepared syrup and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
    5. Finish by mixing in cashews and almonds. Serve hot or cold.
