INGREDIENTS
- ½ Cup black rice
- 1 ½ Cups Milk
- 7-8 Saffron strands (Soaked in ½ tbsp hot milk)
- ¼ tsp Cardamom powder
- 3 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tsp Ghee
- Roasted Sliced Cashews
- Roasted Sliced Almond
For garnish
METHOD
- Soak the black rice for an hour.
- In a pressure cooker, pressure cook the black rice with 2 cups of water for 5 whistles.
- Once done, strain the cooked rice.
- In a pan heat ghee, sauté the cooked rice for 30 seconds.
- Mix in milk, sugar, cardamom powder, kesar. Cover with a lid and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Keep stirring and cook until it thickens.
- Once done, garnish with almonds and cashews. Serve hot or cold.
