Dahi Gathiya Papad Sabzi is a comforting Gujarati preparation where gathiya and papad are simmered in a mildly spiced yogurt-based gravy. INGREDIENTS
- 1 Cup Gathiya
- 1 Cup Broken Papad sabzi
- 1 Cup Water
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- ½ tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
- 1 tbsp Chopped Coriander
- 5-6 Curry leaves
- ½ tsp garlic paste
- ½ tsp jeera
- Pinch of hing
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp Oil
- ½ Cup Thick Curd
- 1 tsp Besan
- ½ Cup Water
For the base
METHOD
- In a bowl whisk together curd, besan and water.
- Mix it well to avoid lumps.
- In a pan heat oil and sauté jeera, hing, garlic, curry leaves.
- Mix in water, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and let it boil.
- Add in gathiyas and let them soften.
- Once almost done, mix in papad pieces and let them cook.
- Once cooked add in the curd mixture on a slow flame. Cook for a minute.
- Finish by adding coriander and serve hot.
