Homemade Mukhwaas | Traditional Indian Mouth Freshener | Fennel Seed Mukhwaas | Digestive Seed Mix — recipe by Renu Dalal

INGREDIENTS

    • 3 tbsp Fennel seeds
    • 2 tbsp Dhaana Dal
    • 2 tbsp Sesame seeds
    • 2 tbsp Dessicated coconut
    • ½ tsp powdered sugar / stevia
    • Pinch of red chilli powder
    • Pinch of rock salt

METHOD

    1. In a pan sauté dessicated coconut for a minute until nice and toasty.
    2. Mix in fennel seeds, dhaana dal, sesame seeds, powdered sugar, red chilli powder, rock salt.
    3. Roast it well until nice and fragrant.
    4. Transfer to a plate and let it cool down for. 7-10 minutes.
    5. Store in a jar and use at your convenience.

Chef's Note from Renu Dalal:

Roast all the ingredients separately on low flame to maintain their individual flavours and crisp texture.
