Raw mango kanji is a refreshing and tangy traditional Indian drink made using raw mango, mustard seeds and spices, naturally fermented to develop its signature probiotic goodness. INGREDIENTS
- 1 Medium size raw mango
- 1 cup chopped fresh coconut
- 2 cups chilled water
- 1/4 cup coriander leaves
- 2 tbsp mint leaves
- 1 tsp roasted jeera
- Black Salt to taste
- Salt to taste
- Ice cubes
METHOD
- In a pressure cooker add in the whole raw mango along with some water.
- Pressure cook for 3 whistles.
- Once done, let it cool down. Remove the peel of the mango.
- Scoop out the pulp fully.
- In a blender jar add in mango pulp, coconut, coriander, mint leaves, roasted jeera, black salt, salt and 1 cup of water.
- Blend well into a smooth puree.
- With a muslin or a cheese cloth, strain the mix and squeeze it properly.
- Re blend the residue with another 1 cup water for a more flavourful taste.
- Strain the mix with the muslin cloth and squeeze it well.
- Serve this chilled over ice.
