INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup boiled rice
- 3 tbsp sattu powder
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 tsp ginger garlic green chilli paste
- 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
- ½ tsp jeera
- Hing
- 2 tsp mustard oil
- ¼ tsp Lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp Water
METHOD
- In a pan heat mustard oil and sauté jeera, hing, ginger garlic green chilli paste and onions.
- Add salt, lemon juice, coriander leaves, sattu and mix well.
- Toss in boiled rice, sprinkle water and cover with a lid. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Serve hot.
Chef's Note from Renu Dalal:
Mix sattu with a little water or oil before combining it with rice to prevent lumps and ensure even flavour distribution.
