CHAKLI RECIPE
This is a simply favourite Gujarati snack. Store in an airtight container and munch. The most famous Indian snack! Chakli is a savoury snack from India. It is a spiral shaped snack with a spiked surface! It has several variations, depending on the types and proportion of flours used. Chakri is also a common nickname for "Chakradhar," a name of Indian origin. It’s especially made for Diwali. Do make these Chaklis with our version and recipe

INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups rice flour
- ½ cup curds
- ¼ tsp asofoetida (hing)
- ½ tsp ginger chilli paste
- 2 tbsp butter
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (til)
- Salt and chilli powder to taste
- ½ cup warm water to make the dough
- Oil for deep frying
For the dough
METHOD
- Sieve the rice flour.
- Combine all the ingredients together to make a dough.
- Make rounds of the dough to put in the chakli maker
- Oil the chakli maker from the inside.
- Place a round of the dough in the chaklimaker.
- The dough should be soft while making the chakli.
- Keep a butter paper on a surface to place the chakli on.
- Make small circular round circles on the butter paper to make the chaklis.
- Repeat the procedure with the other rounds of dough.
- Heat the oil for deep frying.
- Deep fry till the chakli is brown on both sides.
- Place the chaklis on absorbent paper and drain the excess oil.
- Store in an air tight box and snack at your convenience.
