SATTU LADOO
A healthy and tasty ladoo recipe prepared from gond. it is a popular dessert recipe prepared especially during the wet or winter season to provide the necessary heat and warmth. It is rich in calories and nutrients and hence ideal to serve everyone. Gondh is also known as edible gum or gond katira. The hero ingredient is gond here. It is often used to treat conditions like diarrhoea, constipation, and inflammation in the stomach. Gond Katira is often recommended to be consumed in winter due to its warming effect on the body. These ladoos are made with dry fruits, coconut and jaggery along with gond which makes them all the more nutritious. These ladoos can keep you going on a lazy winter morning. INGREDIENTS
1 cup sattu flour
¼ cup ghee
¼ cup Jaggery sugar
½ tsp cardamom powder
METHOD
In a vessel sauté the sattu flour for 1-2 minutes till you get an aroma.
Add the ghee and stir till you get a paste.
Add the jaggery sugar and cardamon powder and mix well.
Remove from the gas and let it cool a bit.
With your hand knead the besan a little.
Add oil on your hands and form ladoos.
Keep in an airtight container and enjoy.
