SEV RECIPE
Make the delicious sev at home. This is a traditional Indian snack and an all time classic! Sev is a popular Indian snack food consisting of small pieces of crunchy noodles!
also called Besan Sev is made from a soft dough of besan (gram flour), oil and spices. The dough is then transferred into a sev press and pressed to form thin strands of sev which are then deep fried.
Do try our version of it you can always store them in an airtight container.

Serves 4 to 6
INGREDIENTS
2 cups besan
1 tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp asofoetida(hing)
1 tsp chilli powder
Salt to taste
2 tbsp oil
Water to make the dough
Oil for greasing the sev maker.
Oil for deep frying.
METHOD
Mix all the ingredients to form a dough.
Grease the sev maker with oil.
Place the dough in the sev maker.
Make thin strands of sev and directly put in hot oil.
Deep fry till light brown colour on both sides.
Drain on absorbent paper till the excess oil is removed.
Let the sev cool and break into pieces.
Store in an airtight container and snack whenever.
