STUFFED BHAVANAGRI CHILIES
These are the every Gujarati’s favourite! This Chillies are special Bhavnagari green Chillies which aren’t too spicy and have a very unique taste. They are available round the year and are used for many Gujarati dishes. The most used and loved accompaniment are these filled Chillies. These go perfectly with Jalebi Fafda as a pair and taste fab alone too. Pair your lunches with just amazing snack and there’s no going back. The filling is made from gram flour and a lot of spices and then shallow fried or roasted. They can also be fried and they taste great! Do try them and enjoy.

INGREDIENTS
4 Big green chillies (Bhavanagri Chilies)
For the filling
½ tbsp coriander powder
½ tbsp aamchur
½ tsp turmeric
½ tsp fennel seeds
½ tsp jeera powder
¼ tsp red chilli powder
Black salt to taste
½ tsp Sugar
3 tbsp mustard oil
Other ingredients
2 tbsp mustard oil
1 tsp hing
½ tsp jeera
¼ tsp Mustard seeds
METHOD
For the Chillies
Cut lengthwise slits vertically on the Green chilies.
Remove the seeds from the middle & hollow all the chilies similarly.
For the filling
In a bowl mix all the ingredients together until well combined.
How to proceed
Take a portion of the filling and fill the slits of the green chilies.
Repeat the procedure for all the chilies.
Heat mustard oil in a pan. Saute jeera, mustard seeds and hing.
Add in the filled chilies, splash some water and immediately cover with a lid.
Cook for 5 minutes and flip the chilies and cover again.
Once the chilies get a nice char on all sides, cook them.
Serve hot.
