How to retain color while cooking greens?

It’s easy to cook green and leafy vegetables but it’s difficult to maintain the bright green colour! Here our some tricks and tips on how you can retain the green colour!

Just by adding a pinch of soda makes a huge difference. Keep in mind not to overcook the greens and follow our procedure to get the best results!

Do try this and let us know if it works!

  • Best way to cook the greens – Chop or slice your green leafy vegetables and place them in hot boiling water for 2-5 minutes.
  • Do not over cook the greens.
  • Add a pinch of Soda while cooking / boiling the greens.
  • As soon as the greens are cooked, transfer them to an ice bath immediately.
